The Nereus Ring features a hand-engraved intaglio of the sea god Nereus, carved into natural multi-colored mother-of-pearl. Known as the “Old Man of the Sea,” Nereus was a shape-shifter, prophet, and guardian of oceanic abundance, dwelling deep in the Aegean with his wife Doris and their fifty Nereid daughters.

Mother-of-pearl, chosen not just for its iridescent beauty, is believed to attract prosperity, enhance intuition, and offer protective, nurturing energy.
