In ancient Egypt, the scarab beetle was revered as a powerful symbol of the divine, particularly associated with the god Khepri, who was believed to roll the sun across the sky each day. This connection to the sun represented the eternal cycle of life, rebirth, and regeneration—qualities that made scarabs highly sought after as amulets for protection and good fortune. They were often placed on the bodies of the deceased to ensure safe passage to the afterlife.
