The obverse features the deified Alexander the Great, adorned with the horn of Ammon. On the reverse, Athena Nikephoros sits enthroned, with a trident below marking the Pontic Kingdom.

Struck under Mithridates VI Eupator, the "Great," around 88–86 BC in Kallatis, this gold stater (8.31g) echoes the legacy of Lysimachus and the enduring power of Hellenistic rule.
